Image Lists
Images
in the FloraPhoto collection are listed in
alphabetical order by their scientific names (links below in
yellow).
The
rights to use these images in websites, digital media and
printed publications may be
purchased. Low resolution preview
images of subjects in the lists will be supplied for viewing
prior to confirmation of
orders. Customers should read the
conditions of use prior to ordering.
All images in the galleries on this web site and in the lists
below are Copyright Colin Bower, FloraPhoto.
The
lists contain information about the content of images including;
-
Scientific and common names. (Note that scientific names may
change as a result of new research and common names may vary
from region to region. Only the most recent scientific names
are used in the lists and this may cause problems in some
groups; for example, the orchids, where many new genus names
have been erected recently in the formerly large genera
Caladenia and Pterostylis. Scanning the common
names may allow you to find what you are looking for, if it
is in the collection.)
-
Whether the species is native to Australia or introduced.
-
The conservation status of the plant, i.e.
whether it is listed as Vulnerable or Endangered
under the NSW Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995
or is listed as Vulnerable, Rare or
Poorly Known in 'Rare or Threatened
Australian Plants' (ROTAP).
-
The
number of different images available showing the whole
plant, flowers or infloresence, fruits or seeds, or
the foliage. Most images show more than one
of these features, e.g. flowers and foliage.
